S.O.S. RANE

An album that explores creative solitude through poetry and music as a space of personal and artistic transformation. Soundtrack of Solitude – WOUNDS is the final musical project by artist Freeda Nera Immortelle (FNI), consisting of twelve original compositions whose development (2013–2025) can be traced through her multidisciplinary projects: the concert performance Cvit samoće, the international podcast La fleur de la solitude, and the music book Cvit samoće.

Twelve (12) intimate compositions, uncompromising in their duration of three to six minutes, do not cater to contemporary trends but unfold like small musical dramas with their own internal logic and clearly articulated perspective. Vocal and instrumental parts carry equal importance, while the authentic interpretation of poetry—both sung and spoken—reflects the artist’s acting background and layered emotional experiences that have shaped this long-term project.

The first arrangements were created in Paris in collaboration with musician and producer Vadim Erudaci, and in that form became part of the podcast La fleur de la solitude. Their further development for the music book was taken over by artist Andree Giordani, who, together with Miroslav Lesić (Lesique studio), shaped the final sound of the album.

Artistic residencies in Paris (Récollets International, 2013, 2018), along with the search for a personal artistic identity, encouraged the then actress Nera Stipičević to embark on an independent artistic exploration, whose language first emerged through poetry and music. This period of creative solitude opened the door to new talents, as well as to publicly exposing vulnerability—both professional and intimate—under the new artistic identity of Freeda Nera Immortelle.

The album S.O.S. WOUNDS was created with the support of the artistic organization Soba2 and FNI Media, while its visual identity was designed by Ivana Radovniković Marković (photographs by Doris Fatur).

“Take acting away from Nera Stipičević and give her a stage, return the microphone to her and let her stand barefoot—let her sing her version of patriotism. Whether romanticizing or merging with Francophonie as the dominant state of the art, she reflects a people taking to the streets, even calling out to them from the position of an artist in a white dress. Quite gentle and determined, tender and fierce in her boldness and attitude. Deliberately captured within her own art, Nera writes, very shyly and instinctively, some profoundly important chords.”
